U.S. advocacy coalition demands immediate suspension of Grok in federal systems after wave of unsafe outputs
A coalition of consumer and digital-rights groups has asked the U.S. Office of Management and Budget to halt federal deployment of xAI’s Grok, citing repeated generation of nonconsensual sexual imagery, risks to minors, and broader safety shortcomings. The groups point to national-security, privacy, and civil-rights concerns — and to parallel regulatory probes abroad — as reasons to remove the model from agencies including the Department of Defense until a full review is completed.
